Bangor Stargazing Experience

Interested in astronomy? Want a closer look at the night’s sky? Why not try this fantastic opportunity to gaze at the moon, planets and stars with a powerful telescope with the expert guidance of Andrew Newsam (Liverpool John Moores University).

The session is suitable for novices and keen amateur astronomers of all ages and will include a guide on the use of equipment, which objects to look at and interesting facts about our solar system.

This event involves a short walk to the Roman Camp. Bring warm clothes, suitable footwear, and a torch.
Alternative arrangements will be done if the weather is not suitable.
Limited spaces and booking is required.
Children must be accompanied with parent/guardian.
A warm drink will be provided at the School of Music at the end of the event.

Session A: 6:30pm – 8:00pm FULL
Session B: 8:00pm – 9:30pm FULL
Session C: 9:30pm – 11:00pm FULL
