Islwyn Evans, founder and director of Ysgol Gerdd Ceredigion and musical director of chamber choir, Cywair, lead a choral workshop including  works by the Welsh Patagonian composer, Hector Ariel MacDonald

16.30-17.30, Drama Rehearsal Room: Tŷ Cerdd lecture:  Discover Welsh Musica celebration of Welsh Women in Music
Dr Rhiannon Mathias lead a discussion about the works of two major Welsh composers, Dilys Elwyn-Edwards and Morfydd Llwyn Owen. Ellen Williams and Brian Ellsbury perform previously unpublished works now available at www.DiscoverWelshMusic.com

17:30 – 19:00, Drama Rehearsal Room: Improvisers’ Network – Wales
Members of the Improvisers’ Network – Wales gave performances of free improvisation on the Tŷ Cerdd Stage at the Bangor Music Festival with a discussion to follow each performance.

The Swingles Concert

19:30 – Prichard-Jones Hall, Bangor University
With their latest change in artistic direction, The Swingles featured a programme of recent music from their newly commissioned repertoire.

Fringe Event 9:00 – 17:00
Local music groups and choirs were invited to perform in the City Centre for the Festival Fringe Event which included food stalls and music performances from the public in front of the clock.
